Coca Cola:We discovered that Coca Cola was made by a doctor it was so post to be a medicine but instead it was a soft drink “ better cooled”🤪We also got to try all the soon new Coca Cola flavors it was gross and delicious at the same time. The floor was sticky too it was gross. This was a great experience!
THE DEEPER STORY 🥤
It really did start with a doctor — in 1886, an Atlanta pharmacist named John Pemberton mixed the first batch a few blocks from where you were standing, and Jacobs’ Pharmacy sold it for five cents a glass. The recipe has been a guarded secret ever since: it sat in a bank vault for 86 years, was once used as collateral for a loan, and since 2011 it’s lived inside the vault in this museum. Nobody gets in.
About “gross and delicious”: the bitter one in the tasting room is called Beverly, an Italian aperitif soda that was discontinued years ago. It survives only here — kept on tap as a prank with decades of straight faces behind it.
