White House

We got tickets to the White House on 29 of august. It was so cool seeing all the things in the White House. When we left the White House my dad got a phone call from the White House..but his phone was on do not disturb..so he did not answer.hour later he saw the missed call. The call could have bin an invitation to go deeper in to the White House.😕But it was FUN!🤩

THE DEEPER STORY 🏛️

The numbers first: 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, six levels — and about 570 gallons of white paint whenever it gets a fresh coat. George Washington picked the spot in 1791 but never got to live there. An Irish architect named James Hoban won the design contest, and when the British burned the place down in 1814, Hoban rebuilt it himself.

Here’s the part nobody could have known that day: part of the route we walked — the East Wing corridors on the way in — doesn’t exist anymore. The East Wing was demolished in late 2025 to make way for a new ballroom. Those photos stopped being vacation pictures and became a record of rooms that are gone.
